about us
Angele Goss, M.Ed., Principal Consultant, is an educator, facilitator and consultant who has spent more than 20 years working with diverse populations to support their growth and development of community. To date participants hold the roles of staff, teachers, school administrators, higher education faculty, city administrators, realtors, museum staff, community organization personnel, and board members. Her work demands an intentional respect for the varied cultures of each organization, its employees, and clients.
Her experience includes:
working within educational settings to connect middle, high school, and college students – from low-income families, first-generation college, or students with disabilities - to resources and experiences that improve their access to and through post-secondary education;
bringing cultural awareness to church members as they seek to understand how the diversity of their members is critical to the unity of their faith;
teaching Adult Basic Education to predominantly English Language Learners ranging in age from 18 to 65, as well as to career vocational teachers to support their development of curriculum for this same student population; and
providing training to various industries who are committed to examining and changing current practices that have limited the full participation of their stakeholders, especially those of traditionally marginalized populations.
Angele’s ability to build rapport and a sense of community within each organization supports their individual success and self-efficacy. She provides meaningful ways for participants to find themselves reflected in this work which promotes both personal and professional growth. The work of Open Leaf Consulting is based on the mindset that the well-being of the community is a shared responsibility.
